Buttermilk cookies and gravy sausage
Ingredients:
- 8 milk biscuits
 - 1 pound pork sausage
 - 2 tablespoons + 1 teaspoon all-purpose flour
 - 2 1/2 cups half and half
 - 1 tablespoon of butter
 - 1/8 teaspoon of dried thyme
 - 1/8 teaspoon dried crushed rosemary
 - 1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
 - Freshly ground black pepper to taste
 
Directions:
- Brown the sausage in a large pot.
 - Use a paper towel to remove most of the fat from the pan.
 - Add flour, butter and half and half.
 - Cook over medium-low heat, stirring often, for several minutes, until thickened.
 - Add thyme, rosemary, red pepper flakes and black pepper.
 - Serve it over warm cookies.
