Jerk Steak & Shrimp over Yellow Rice

Instructions:

  1. Heat oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Add steak. Cook undisturbed for 3 mins.
  3. Gently flip in pan until browned on all sides, abt 7-8 mins. Remove and set aside.
  4. Season shrimp with Jerk & Creole Seasonings.
  5. Blend well. The color should begin to turn red.
  6. Add butter to pan then add shrimp.
  7. Cook for 1 min each side.
  8. Add honey.
  9. Cook an additional 1 min. Remove.
  10. Shrimp will finish cooking last step.
  11. In the same pan add bell peppers.
  12. Cook for 3 minutes or until softened.
  13. Stir frequently to keep from burning.
  14. Add steak and shrimp back to the pan. Toss to blend.
  15. Add broth/water and all remaining seasonings.
  16. Lower heat to Med Low and let simmer to enhance the flavor. Serve over white or yellow rice.
  17. Sprinkle green onions, black pepper, and/or Cilantro.
  18. Done!

Notes:

  • Jerk Seasoning: 1 T Garlic Powder, 1 tsp Red Chili Pepper Flakes, 2 tsp of each; Cayenne Pepper, Dried Thyme, Onion Powder, Dried Parsley, All Spice, Paprika, Crushed Red Pepper, 1/8 tsp Salt, Ground Cinnamon & NutmegĀ 
  • Creole Seasoning: 1 1/2 T Paprika, 1/8 T Thyme, 1 tsp Black Pepper, Oregano, Basil and garlic Powder, Onion Powder, White Pepper, and 1/2 T Finely crushed Red Pepper FlakeĀ
