Homemade Buttercream Frosting


  • 2 tbsp heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup butter, unsalted and softened
  • 3 cups Confectioners Sugar


  1. Using a hand mixer, beat the butter until it is light and fluffy
  2. Add the vanilla and beat again
  3. Begin adding the powdered sugar, ¬Ĺ cup at a time to incorporate with no lumps
  4. Add in the heavy whipping cream and beat until all mixed in completely
  5. Fill the piping bag and frost your cake or cupcakes
